The reading sheet is a document analysis produced by a full language model running entirely on your machine. Not one byte of the document leaves: you can turn off the network and still produce it.
Install the local analysis module (once)
The model weighs 2 GB and never installs on its own:
- Open Preferences, section Local analysis module.
- Click Install. Progress is shown, then the app verifies the integrity of the downloaded file.
- The status switches to “Installed”. That is it: from now on, this model runs on this machine.
Tip: do the installation at a quiet moment (2 GB), not five minutes before you need it.
Producing a sheet
- Attach your document to a conversation.
- Click the book icon on the file card (“Produce the reading sheet”).
- The icon pulses for 15 to 30 seconds. Do not click again while it pulses: that click cancels the analysis (cancelling is a normal gesture, and the audit trace records it cleanly).
- When the pulse stops, click the icon again (“View the reading sheet”) to open it.
What the sheet contains
Summary, Subject, Objectives, Stakeholders, Risks, Assumptions, Open questions, Key passages (as quotations) and a Confidence index. The sheet’s footer documents the model, its revision, the template, the language, the date and the duration.
Key passages are verified word for word against the document. A quotation the model embellished or altered is removed and counted (“n passages omitted, fidelity to the text not confirmed”), never displayed. No invented quotation can reach that screen: it is structural, not statistical.
Good to know
- The sheet is persisted, encrypted, in the vault: reopening it is instant. “Redo the analysis” replaces it, and the replacement is audited.
- A document that is too long (beyond roughly 24,000 characters) is refused cleanly rather than silently truncated.
- The first sheet from cold can take a little longer: the model loads from disk.
