Trust6 runs real analysis engines on your machine: that is the price of confidentiality, and it is a reasonable one.
The essentials
- System: macOS or Windows, on a recent, up-to-date version.
- Disk space: plan for about 1 GB for the app and its built-in detection engine. The optional local analysis module (reading sheet) adds 2 GB if installed.
- Memory: 8 GB is enough for everyday use; the detection engine loads into memory on the first analysis.
- Network: required to talk to AI providers and for account sign-in. Detection, file extraction and the reading sheet work fully offline.
What runs locally
Two engines live on your machine:
- The detection engine (built into the app): it spots sensitive information in your texts and documents. Its first load after launch takes about fifteen seconds.
- The local analysis module (optional, 2 GB): a full language model that produces reading sheets of your documents without a single byte leaving the machine. It installs from Preferences, never on its own.
Offline
Once signed in to your account, you get a 7-day offline grace period: local features keep working without a network, and sends to AI providers resume when the connection comes back.
